Drinks and Snacks

  • We now have 55 large Cadbury chocolates for the vending machine
  • We should update the stock tracker so we know what we have before we go on the next run

General State of the Room

  • Room itself is fine
  • Increasing problems with the ethernet that is piped around the room
    • Ethernet in the walls and the black cable trays were installed nearly 25 years ago
    • Some are beginning to fail
    • [MTL] suggested going through official UWA channels
      • [MTL] has some connections to UWA contracters that might be able to help out in rewiring the ethernet in the clubroom
      • We can go to campus management after organising the details to get their approval
        • Also looks better in the long run for tenancy allocations

      ACTION: [GPO] to organise ethernet rewiring work with [MTL].

  • Need to sort out network issues with dead ethernet ports on chimaera and peamouth
    • Buy a cheap network switch if needed
      • [GPO] is willing to donate one as well
  • New pillows potentially?
    • Committee agrees it would be a good idea and we can get rid of the old pillows
  • [GPO] suggests renting a upholstery cleaner for cleaning the couches
    • Can be shared and costs can be split across Unigames, UniSFA and Esports
    • We could pre-budget for it and [GPO] can sort out getting it
    • Renting out is $43.60 for 24 hours

Guild/SOC

  • There is a chance for a new "Platinum Ticket" (being pushed by SPARK) which would cover the cost of club events for students
    • Similar to the Golden Ticket covering $5 club membership costs (it would also similarly have reimbursements of those costs when we return the tickets to the Guild)
    • [ZPH] suggests potentially running a Fresher LAN as a paid event that could use it (if it is introduced)

Tenancy

  • Tenancy consult on Tuesday 7th October (Week 11) @ 12pm - 1pm
