olive- All of our servers deserve 10Gbps or more
- 4x $29.79/$33.99/$34.59 + $9.59 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006133223944.html Mellanox MCX354A-FCCT ConnectX-3 VPI Adapter Card, Dual FDR 56Gb/s or 40/56GbE QSFP Port, PCIe 3.0 x8 8GT/s + 2m MPO-MPO-2M cables?
- Upgrade for critical storage-providing servers: confirm the exact-correct cables
- 4x AUD$24.39 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008218105497.html X540-T2
- Extra-cheap, high compatiblity
- 6x AUD$45.08 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005010360798379.html RTL8127
- Cheap, low power/heat. Also NBASE-T 802.bz compatible (can be used for desktops and point-to-point connections, adapting to the wiring to negotiate 2.5Gbps or 5Gbps if they cannot manage 10Gbps)
- Would be helpful for the servers and desktops; might reduce login times as well
